Dr. Mackenzie Johnson grew up in Kansas. She received her Bachelor's in Biology from William Jewell College, in Liberty, MO. She completed her education at Kansas State University where she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine. After graduation, Dr. Johnson served in the United States Air Force as a Public Health Officer during the COVID-19 Pandemic. She was active duty for 3 years. During this time, she attended Chi University where she received her Veterinary Acupuncture Certification. 

Dr. Johnson then completed her rotating internship here at Bulger Veterinary Hospital. She joined the team in 2024 as a General Practitioner. Dr. Johnson loves preventative care, surgery, and has a special interest in holistic medicine. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her dog Gertrude.
