Supporting Pets in Need
At Bulger Veterinary Hospital, we’ve partnered with the Veterinary Care Foundation to establish the Bulger Cares Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to helping pet owners facing financial hardship.
Every dollar donated goes directly toward providing medical care for sick or injured animals—none of your contributions will be used for administrative fees or salaries.
How Your Donations Help
Bulger Cares funds are exclusively used for:
Good Samaritan cases, providing care for pets without owners.
Financial crisis assistance, supporting pet owners who have demonstrated significant financial need.
Local disaster relief, aiding pets harmed or displaced due to emergencies.
To qualify for assistance, clients must first explore all other payment options, including CareCredit, Scratch Pay, personal credit cards, and support from family or friends.
Eligibility Requirements
Funds are available for pets treated at Bulger Veterinary Hospital.
Eligible pets must receive an examination by one of our veterinarians and have a favorable prognosis.
Patients with chronic or life-limiting conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, congestive heart failure, or elderly pets needing major surgery, are not eligible.
Please note: Bulger Cares funds are designed to supplement the cost of care, not cover treatment in full.
