Dr. Kayla Prentice grew up in Upstate New York and earned her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 2017. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2021. She fell in love with internal medicine and New England, leading her to a residency in small animal internal medicine at Tufts. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) in 2025. She’s passionate about helping pets with complex medical conditions, with special interests in interventional radiology, liver disease, and autoimmune diseases. When she’s not at the hospital, she enjoys reading, film photography, and spending time with her cat, Luci, and her Labrador retriever, Yuzu
