About

Dr. Joseph Rea was born and raised in New Jersey, but has since relocated to Massachusetts. He received a dual DVM/MPH degree from Tufts University, with an emphasis on wildlife, zoonotic disease, and antibiotic resistance. During his training, he focused on applying the tenants of public health and disease prevention to a clinical setting. He found a home in the emergency room, and particular gratification in providing care to pets when they need it most.

Dr. Rea lives with his partner and their dog, Mya, a deaf, mischievous english pointer who provides endless love (and headaches).
