About
Dr. Brianna Barnet grew up in Onewhero, New Zealand just outside of Auckland. She earned her veterinary degree in 2015 from Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Dr. Barnet completed a surgical internship at Veterinary Specialist Group in Auckland before coming to the U.S. to complete a rotating internship at the University of Georgia. Following her time in Georgia, Dr. Barnet moved to Massachusetts to begin her small animal surgery residency at Tufts University. In the last few years Dr. Barnet has received honors for AO ACVS Surgical Summit Abstract Award 2018, VOS Bloomberg Resident Research Award 2020, and the VCOT Most Outstanding Resident Publication Award 2020. She became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2021.
Although she enjoys all aspects of surgery, she has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, surgical oncology, fracture repair, thoracic surgery, and advanced wound management and skin reconstruction.
Now a resident of Bolton, MA, Dr. Barnet and her husband have recently welcomed their first child. She enjoys gardening, skiing, and walks with their dog Cali.
