About

Dr. Annalisa Prahl is a native Minnesotan who now calls Massachusetts home. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1995, and obtained her veterinary medical degree at the University of Minnesota in 2000. She then participated in a rotating internship at the University of Georgia which strengthened her desire to pursue internal medicine as a specialty. Dr. Prahl completed a small animal internal medicine residency at Purdue University. While at Purdue she received an award for outstanding teaching by a graduate student as well as the Katie McCallister compassion award. She obtained diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Small Animal Internal Medicine) in 2007.

Following completion of her residency, Dr. Prahl relocated to Tucson, Arizona and practiced at a large specialty practice for the next six years. This time allowed her to refine her skills at managing a wide variety of patients and conditions. Dr. Prahl enjoys all aspects of internal medicine but takes a special interest in diseases of the kidneys and urinary bladder. She joined Bulger Veterinary Hospital in March 2011.
