About

Dr. Stephen McGrath received his DVM at the University of Wisconsin. He completed a 1 year rotating small animal medicine, surgery and emergency internship at the VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth, MA. Dr. McGrath then began his career with the IVG network of hospitals as an emergency veterinarian at the Bulger Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2012. He has an interest in emergency medicine, surgery, and exotic animal medicine. During veterinary school,

Dr. McGrath received additional education during externship experiences at the St. Louis Zoo, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, during a study-abroad program in Tanzania, Africa, and work with the Humane Society of the United States and their field service. During his time away from the hospital, he enjoys kayaking, snowboarding, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with his family.
